All Things Bright and Beautiful (unplugged)

Teresa and I recorded this unplugged version shortly after I wrote it in the fall of 2008. Caleb’s first grade teacher chose this familiar verse as the theme for their class. When she asked the students to memorize the verse, I immediately felt the urge to put it to music (not knowing it was already a standard hymn). This unplugged version not only helped the class memorize the verse, but more importantly, internalize the truth of a loving Creator named JESUS CHRIST, Who is all wise and wonderful.

lyrics
All things bright and beautiful
All creatures great and small
All things wise and wonderful
The Lord God made them all

Hail Jesus, You Are My King!

This recording is from a live praise & worship service at our church (First Assembly of God in Jefferson City) on 2/17/10. I had just written the song a few weeks earlier and we introduced it in Children’s Church the previous Sunday, the kids (and the helpers) loved it! There’s something about reminding ourselves that being a Christian is 24/7 not just one day a week.
P.S> The song can also be sung in two rounds, beginning on the 3rd line.

lyrics
Hail Jesus, You are my King!
It’s You I adore above everything
Not just when I’m at church on Sunday
But all week long, even on Monday!
